This fun kitchen remodel is accompanied by quite a bit of additional flooring re-facing. The kitchen cabinets and backsplash this homeowner chose was an interesting mixed-tone tile floor that convincingly mimics the look of a calm blue ocean, without all of the worries over damaging it.
The large center island features a bold accent color designed to casually define the individual components of the kitchen. The island at all sides maximizes the amount of actual prep space while the kitchen countertops behind it offer plenty of additional horizontal work surface. The custom-built cabinetry for this kitchen gives the homeowner the flexibility of design as well as a higher quality cabinet that would last them through the years.
